摘要
The significance of learning a foreign language is commonly accepted as a way to improve our lives. It is, however, a fact that today's young people live and learn in an open, internet-influenced, and diverse cultural environment, potentially leading to reduced language learning engagement, partly because learning a new language in the traditional manner appears to them as outdated. In the last decade, researchers, teachers, and IT experts, have been testing the technology of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in language teaching, in order to increase interest and effectiveness in foreign language learning. This article presents a brief review of the latest attempts of implementation of AI in second language learning. The various aspects of foreign language learning, as influenced by the integration of AI systems and implementations will be presented, highlighting the possibilities of AI in foreign language learning.
