摘要
Perfluorosulfonic acid (PFSA) membrane (e.g. Nafion by Dupont) has been used as proton exchange membrane (PEM) for the DMFC. However, the disadvantage of methanol crossover through Nafion is one of the major problems in the application of DMFC. Recent research progress in methanol-blocking perfluorosulfonic acid composite membranes is reviewed in this paper. The effects of various inorganic/organic additives on the methanol permeability, the proton conductivity as well as the cell performance of the composite membranes have been summarized and compared. The transport mechanism of methanol and proton in the composite membranes is also discussed. In addition, future trends and the problems in the research for improving the proton selectivity of the composite membrane are reviewed and discussed.
