摘要
The present study deals with production of Dairy scum biodiesel production and its performance study on a single cylinder CI engine with using Diesel and Biodiesel blends at three different compression ratios. The engine was maintained at a constant speed of 1500 rpm. The three compression ratios used are 14, 16.5 and 18. The B20 blends of biodiesel was prepared by mixing 20% diesel with 80% diesel and named as DSMEB20. The effect of compression ratio on the biodiesel is discussed. The highest thermal efficiency, Exhaust Gas Temperature was observed for Compression ratio 18. The reason could be complete combustion, attainment of higher self-ignition temp and supply of more air. The CO2, NOx emission found highest for higher compression ratio. The probable reason for this could be increased complete combustion and higher combustion temperature.
