摘要
In the present paper, transient stability analysis of IEEE 9-bus system incorporated with Hybrid Power Flow Controller (HPFC) and a hybrid FACTS controller has been carried out. Hybrid topology, having two series connected voltage source converters and a shunt connected reactive power source, enables converters to improve the functioning of equipment attached. In order to test the controller performance, different fault locations under a symmetrical three-phase short circuit fault were used and the load angle variations were studied. The result of simulation shows that the Multi Machine System, incorporated with the proposed topology of HPFC controller, has outstanding performance in reducing the dampings of power system oscillations.
