Quantum information transfer in atom-photon interactions in a cavity

摘要
We consider the interaction of one or more two-level atom(s) with photons inside the controlled environment of a microwave cavity. The entanglement generated between the atoms and the cavity photons has several interesting consequences. Robust atom-atom entanglement can be created through this mechanism without the direct overlap between the atomic wave functions. The monogamous nature of entanglement is clearly exhibited. Cavity dissipation is monitored in a controlled manner, and the transfer of quantum information between the atoms, cavity, and the external reservoir is studied. Practical realization of several information theoretic concepts is achieved through the micromaser.
