摘要
The influence of modern trends of economic development upon the status and problems of the labor market are analyzed in the article. The study is aimed at developing a package of measures, which contribute to overcoming difficulties in population's employment sector, preventing crisis situations from emerging and reduction of tensions in the labor market. The undertaken study is based upon a statistical analysis of the labor market in Samara region. Profound researcher-administered surveys were organized, during which the quality of the population's living standard was assessed. The results of the analysis of Samara region's social-and-economic development are rendered for the purpose of determining the quality of the population's living standards, favourable conditions for it's development and reserves of growth of the region's competitive ability are represented. The need to increase the population's labor mobility and attract foreign expatriate workforce is educed in keeping with the regional economy's needs. The concurrence of labor market development and the system of higher professional education is singled out as the reason for the region's sustainable development. The disbalance of demand and supply in the labor market has an adverse impact on psychosocial climate in the region, it causes an inefficient formation of labor potential and the other problems. There is a need for a more reasonable distribution of the labor force through branches of economic activity and assistance in searching for a suitable job for graduates of higher educational institutions.
