Magnetic properties of RWC2 compounds (R=Y, Gd, Tb, Dy, Ho, Er)

摘要
The magnetic properties of the RWC2 compounds (R=Y, Gd, Tb, Dy, Er) have been investigated. It was found that the compounds show ordering temperatures between 5 K (Er) and 35 K (Gd) and follow the Curie-Weiss law above 50 K. YWC2 is non-magnetic. The paramagnetic Curie temperature is negative for R=Tb, Dy, Plo and Er while it is positive for GdWC2. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science S.A.
