摘要
In this paper, a transition toolpath planning algorithm is proposed to achieve sharp corner edge grinding in personalized glass products manufacturing. The developed algorithm is based on a segmented conic NURBS curve with parameterized knot and weight sequences. First, the requirements for glass sharp corner grinding are given, and a transition velocity constraint is derived based on a grinding forces model. Moreover, considering the grinding depth and velocity control around the tips, a segmented NURBS transition toolpath is created to connect the broken wheel center trajectory. Afterwards, the application methods for the proposed NURBS curve in different commercial CNC systems are summarized and presented. An experimental study was carried out to validate the proposed method.
