摘要
The work presented in the paper focuses on the construction of a detailed geometric Monte Carlo model of a typical pressurized water reactor core. The motivation was to obtain a computational tool which could be utilized to perform computationally demanding reactor core calculations. In the scope of the project the fuel burn-up data was also analysed and implemented into the model using the output of a deterministic reactor core calculations code. In the paper the constructed model is presented together with the results of a preliminary testing of the model, which allows for a checkup of the geometry, computational demand of the model and the design of a subroutine capable of automated Monte Carlo input generation.
