摘要
In recent years, adult stem cells have attracted the attention of researchers due to their functions in tissue regeneration and damage repair. Human dental pulp stem cells (hDPSCs), a type of adult stem cell from dental pulp tissue, have gained intense interest in the field of oral biology. MicroRNAs can control protein translation and play key roles in stem cell biology. A previous study conducted in our laboratory showed that microRNA-320c (miR-320c) plays critical roles in the reprogramming, maintenance of stemness and regulation of cell differentiation in human bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells (hBMSCs), but its role in hDPSCs remains unknown. In this study, we first simulated the over-expression or knockdown of miRNA-320c in hDPSCs to detect the effects on cell proliferation and differentiation in vitro.
