摘要
In this paper, microstrip photonic bandgap structures based on etching a nonperiodic pattern of circles in the ground plane of a microstrip line are investigated. Three topologies based on placing two defects in a periodic circle pattern, with a different spacing between them for each structure, are considered and their responses are compared. Multiple-frequency and bandwidth-tuned bandgaps are obtained. (C) 2003 Wiley Periodicals.
