Cutting tool path choice based on the fluctuation of cutting force in NC milling

摘要
In order to resolve the problem of choosing the best cutting tool path based on the fluctuation of cutting force in NC milling, in this paper, we established the cutting force predictive mathematic model of machining ellipsoid surface by ball end milling cutter based on differential quadrature element method. Then, by MATLAB software, we established the relationship between the cutting force and the normal curvature of ellipsoid surface, which showed that the cutting force decreases while the normal curvature increases. Based on the above result, we can optimize cutting tool path according to the variety of normal curvature.
