摘要
With the increasing importance of English, more attention has been paid to students' English learning. During the process of English learning, there are a number of factors discouraging students from learning English. In this study, some researches at home and abroad will be reviewed so that some implications will be reached. Dornyei has defined demotivation as "specific external forces that reduce or diminish the motivational basis of a behavioral intention or an ongoing action" (Dornyei, 2001: 143). In recent years, there emerged amount of research on the factors leading to demotivation. In this paper, it mainly talks about the relevant research at home and abroad. Finally, it proposed the implications for the high school English teaching.
