We theoretically studied the interband Faraday rotation (FR) in a semiconductor cylindrical quantum wire (CQWR). The FR is calculated as a function of the energy of the incident light for different values of the radius of the CQWR and for different values of the magnetic field. Resonance peaks are shown to appear on FR curve. The selection rules are obtained.
