摘要：

Percutaneous placement of nephrostomy catheters in patients with non-dilated pelvicaliceal systems remains problematic. We successfully performed ultrasound-guided percutaneous nephrostomies in 5 such patients after intravenous administration of a diuretic agent. Diuresis resulted in transient dilatation of the calyces, facilitating the procedures, which were performed under real-time sonographic guidance using the Seldinger technique.
