摘要
A microstrip patch antenna with a 180 degrees hybrid coupler and parasitic patches under radiating patches is proposed for STAR applications. The antenna geometry and isolation improving methods are explained. Simulation results of S-parameters, gain, antenna efficiency, and radiation patterns, are presented. The proposed design has a bandwidth of 110 MHz from 2.399 GHz to 2.509 GHz for both transmission and reception. Its gain is about 2.5 dB to 4 dB between 2.4 GHz and 2.5 GHz. Polarization differences about 20 dB to 40 dB are shown in the radiation patterns. The proposed design also possesses -50 dB isolation bandwidth ranges from 2 GHz to 3 GHz. Such isolation allows the antenna to be used for STAR communication.
