One of the great advances in health policy in recent years, spurred on by the Affordable Care Act, is the concept of cross-sector collaboration that brings together health care, social services, and public health. The law can advance or inhibit such collaboration efforts, and the fundamental importance of using law to expand these types of efforts is the subject of this installment of Law and the Public’s Health. © 2015 Association of Schools and Programs of Public Health.
