摘要
A series of temperature-responsive acetalyzed polyvinyl alcohol (APVA) and cationized APVA (CAPVA) with different chain length, degree of acetalysis and degree of cationization were prepared. H-1-NMR techniques were applied in order to assign the signals and to make the quantitative analysis of the copolymer composition possible. The turbidity of APVA and CAPVA aqueous solutions was investigated by turbidimeter. The turbidity of APVA and CAPVA solution was found to be opaque when the temperature went up. The phase transition is the result of partial acetalization of the hydroxyl group on PVA. The temperature-responsive fiber was made by assembling APVA and CAPVA multilayers on cellulose fiber. The AFM images of the surface reveal the changes in surface morphology induced by temperature.
