摘要
An UWB rectangular dielectric resonant antenna with sharply defined edge characteristic has been presented. In this design, the modified U-shaped feed structure is introduced to effectively widen the bandwidth of the dielectric antenna, and partial ground plane with rectangular slot is used for better impedance matching. As a result, the working frequency covering the UWB commercial frequency band requirements is obtained. Moreover, edge filtering characteristic for impedance bandwidth is achieved by loading a metal stub on the side of the antenna to enhance the selectivity of the antenna to the operating frequency.
