摘要
In the context of the CORNET research project "REWESTRUCT - Repair welding of structures" several experimental tests and numerical simulations were performed at the University of Innsbruck, TU Braunschweig and BTU Cottbus in order to determine the ultimate limit capacity and fatigue strength of repair welded joints of steel components. This article presents the evaluation and results of the tests and measurements carried out at the University of Innsbruck and at the Technical University Braunschweig. Full scale fatigue tests of large components including the structural calculations were carried out in Innsbruck. The measurement-based evaluation of the residual stresses based on the X-ray diffraction as well as their numerical calculation was performed at the TU Braunschweig. In this process was revealed that properly executed repairs do not lead to a reduction of the fatigue strength. On the contrary, improvements carried out in the course of repair work can result in an increase of the fatigue strength.
