摘要
In a recent paper by Deshpande et al. [1], dislocation dynamics is reported to be chaotic, due to the basic dislocation interactions and physical mechanism of plastic flow. We examine the dynamical characterization procedure followed in the paper and suggest that this conclusion may not be based on sound analysis. We also comment on some relevant physical aspects of dislocation dynamics. (C) 2004 Acta Materialia Inc. Published by Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
