Free vibration characteristics of compound planetary gear sets

摘要
The dynamic models of the compound planetary gear set of Ravingneaux type have been developed to predict the free vibration characteristics under different kinematic configurations resulting in different speed ratios. In the models, compressions of inner mesh and outer mesh have been analysed. Making use of Lagrange method, motion equations and system matrices for each power flow configuration have been derived. The analysis software has been built, in which the GUI functions in the platform of Matlab have been applied to solve all of the equations. The natural frequencies and modal shapes of a compound planetary gear set have been analysed.
