摘要：

Multimodality image registration gives insight to anatomical and functional information, which assist diagnosis and therapy planning in medicine. Mutual information describes the statistical dependence of two random variables Applied a voxel based approach based on mutual information, accurate and retrospective registration is provided. And a hybrid technique using both genetic and Powell algorithm is used in optimization.
