摘要：

This article discusses the philosophy and goals of public institutions of higher education in Malaysia through the respective vision, mission and philosophy of leading universities in Malaysia as well as their contribution to the society and country. They are found to be compatible with the Transformation Plan of Higher Education which emphasizes on quality, competitiveness, creativity and innovation as a strategic step in preparing a suitable climate and environment to make Malaysia an international hub for higher education.
