摘要
Empirical research proves that decision-makers are aware of the role of intuition in decision-making processes and, striving to make effective decisions, they try to combine rational and intuitive approaches. However, the question arises whether the use of intuition has a real impact on the effectiveness of the decision-making process. This article aims at determining the relationship between the approach to decision making used in practice (proving that a certain degree of intuition is used) and the effectiveness, perceived by decision-makers, of decisions made in the professional sphere. The article consists of three parts. The first one is theoretical and attempts to define the concept of intuition and its role in management, especially in the decision-making process. Next, the research method of empirical research is presented. The last part of the article is devoted to the presentation of the cognitive results obtained by the author (quantitative surveys were carried out using the CATI method, which resulted in 300 correctly completed questionnaires).
