Total and partial mass attenuation coefficients and effective atomic number studies in different solid state nuclear track detectors

摘要
The calculated mass attenuation coefficients and effective atomic numbers of Solid State Nuclear Track Detectors (SSNTD) in the energy range 1 keV-10(5) MeV are found to vary with the type of interaction of photons with it and the influence of chemical compositions is also observed. Further, it is observed that the coherent to Compton scattering ratio (R/C) strongly depends on photon energy in the low region.
