摘要
Design of high-speed large-power permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) is extremely constrained by the multi-physics couplings and even conflicts, and also by the specification of power converter. Therefore, it is challenging to achieve a feasible solution of motor design through the step-by-step calculation. As a study case, a 350 kW and 13.5 krpm non-salient PMSM was developed and optimized with multi-physics methods. The related design aspects include electromagnetic scheme, rotor mechanical optimization, and thermal validation with computational fluid dynamics (CFD).
