摘要
In this paper, Doppler polarimetric processing with a modified spectrum dealiasing procedure is performed for weather radar. The effect of nonsimultaneous polarimetric measurements is initially handled by a previously proposed Doppler phase compensation method. Then, by using the copolar cross- correlation coefficient as polarimetric information, the Doppler spectrum is unfolded. The unfolding procedure in order to obtain the actual Doppler velocity, greatly depends on the atmospheric conditions. Thus, a trial-and-error procedure is carried out when a large phase jump is observed in the copolar cross- spectrum phase. It is found that the PPI of the mean Doppler velocity in a heavy rain event, yields a smooth velocity transition, which proves the applicability of the dealising procedure.
