Art's place in the transformation of humanity

This work aims to ponder on the processes of speech formation of/about Art in the current Brazilian political conjuncture from President Jair Bolsonaro's discourse on a live transmission in which he dealt with vetoes to films authorized by the ANCINE (Brazilian National Film Agency)and through the clippings of the docufiction Afronte which, from the narratives that explore the realities experienced by black homosexuals in the Federal District, works with issues of gender and sexuality, racism, representation, among other issues. We intend, based on the theoretical and methodological assumptions of the Pecheuxtian discourse analysis, from an ontological-materialist perspective, to analyze materially the effects of the meanings produced in the situations selected for this study in order to understand how the oppression and resistance speeches are mobilized within the class social relations inherent to the capitalist mode of production in its current crisis and how, in the ongoing ideological struggle, these speeches work, thinking specifically in the sphere of Art and the ways in which this complex has been conceived in contemporary Brazil.
