Large eddy simulation of turbulent heat transfer and calculation of entropy generation

摘要
By using large eddy simulation cooperated with the second order full extension ETG finite element method, entropy generation analysis was carried out. Corresponding to different filter in LES, different formulas for calculating the entropy generation in turbulent heat transfer were obtained. The fields of velocity, temperature and entropy generation of the forced convection around a circle tube were calculated. The results show that LES is a promising method for turbulent entropy generation analysis. Abundant spatio-temporal information of the entropy generation can be got, by using which the design of thermodynamic system can be improved to utilize the energy more efficiently.
