Computational study on flow-induced vibration of high-speed train in tunnel

摘要
Vibration of high-speed trains increases in tunnels by aerodynamic force whose mechanism is unknown. To clarify this aerodynamic force, the three-dimensional unsteady Navier-Stokes simulation was conducted. Our computations revealed that the Kelvin-Helmholtz instability occurs by the difference in the velocity profile between the flow under the train and that on the side of the train and the resulted vortices spread out on the train side by the tunnel wall, and then pressure fluctuation is generated when they pass.
