Modeling of σ-phase precipitation in a 2205 duplex stainless steel using an analytical soft impingement treatment

摘要
Based on the analytical treatment of soft impingement [K. Fan, F. Liu, K. Zhang, G.C. Yang, Y.H. Zhou, J. Cryst. Growth 311 (2009) 4660-4664], a physically realistic relationship between the final transformed fraction f(m) and the heating/cooling rate Phi has been derived. It can be predicted not only for the transformation before soft impingement but also for the transformation after soft impingement. Model prediction for the precipitation of sigma-phase in a 2205 duplex stainless steel has been performed. Good agreement with published experimental data has been achieved. (C) 2010 Elsevier B.V.
