摘要：

The opportunities and constraints for interpretation of the New institutional economics as a research program is demonstrated by authors on the basis of the description of the disciplinary area in terms of research programs in contrast to the paradigm approach to the explanation of the development of scientific knowledge. It is identified common characteristics of research that might be grouped under the name "New institutional economics" in contrast to other research programs, in particular, Neoclassical, Old institutional and Austrian economics. The differences in research approaches within the New institutional economics are identified to assess their significance in terms of opportunities to consider the New institutional economics as a "normal research program".
