Ni-Based Metal-Organic Framework Nanorods Self-assembled into Hollow Architecture and Decorated with Pt Nanoparticles as Nanocatalysts for CO Oxidation

摘要
Herein, we fabricate a new type of Ni-based metal-organic frameworks (Ni-MOFs) with self-assembled nanorods to form hollow architectures, which were then used as excellent supports to load uniform Pt nanoparticles (size of 3.3 nm) and utilized as efficient catalysts for low-temperature carbon monoxide (CO) oxidation reaction. Interestingly, the nanocatalysts showed superior CO oxidation reactivity with T-100 (temperature to achieve 100% conversion) at 90 degrees C, much lower than Pt loaded on ZIF-67 (220 degrees C) under similar evaluation conditions. The significant difference was ascribed to the strong interactions between Pt and Ni-MOF, which were also confirmed from the in situ diffuse-reflectance infrared Fourier transform spectroscopy and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy analysis.
