THE NARRATIVE SPACE AS A CONSTRUCTION OF FEMALE IDENTITY IN CARMEN MARTIN GAITE

Thanks to them, it is noted spaces inhabited throughout the life of the protagonist to conquer the public space and build his feminine identity. In this way, we study the chronotope of this novel as a remembrance, analyzing the dimension actuacional and the dimension situacional with the purpose of verifying the conquest of the public space of the protagonist, since it is the form of being woman that is, to construct a feminine identity, according to Simone de Beauvoir and french feminist literary theorists, who want the need to construct a feminine discourse that frees women from the oppression of patriarchy.
