摘要：

Peste des petits ruminants (PPR) among sheep was reported during 1987 (Shaila et al, 1989). Later fatal PPR among buffaloes was recorded by Govindarajan et al. (1997). Conventionally, PPR-specific antibodies had been demonstrated by a variety of techniques, viz. haemagglutination inhibition test, agar gel precipitation test and counter immuno electrophoresis, serum neutralization test (SNT) and enzyme linked immuno sorbent assay (ELISA). single step haemagglutination inhibition technique for assessment of PPR specific antibodies adopted for large scale screening of bovine serum samples is reported.
