摘要
We present results from a simple numerical model simulating continuous wave (CW) intracavity Raman lasers and intracavity-doubled Raman lasers, which will guide optimization of experimental devices. We show that the laser efficiently converts the incident pump power into the fundamental photons, allowing us to derive simple expressions for the Raman threshold and total efficiency. The model shows that the behavior of the laser can be described as a function of two coupling parameters, and enhanced efficiency may be achieved by strongly increasing these coupling parameters for the Raman and doubling processes.
