摘要:
This paper aims at modeling, analysis and development on plate structures with active and passive constrained layer damping treatment. A general finite element model has been developed for the analysis of three layer sandwich plate treated with Passive Constrained Layer Damping (PCLD) and Active Constrained Layer Damping (ACLD). The FEM program is validated with the known results in the literature for different boundary conditions. Analysis has been done for fully covered PCLD and ACLD, for cantilever and simply supported boundary conditions. The effects of the voltage gain (proportional and derivative) on damping characteristics are analyzed for PCLD and ACLD configurations.
