Forward modelling of different types of magnetic data can be performed using the software described in this paper. The programs are useful both for geoscientists performing exploration work and for teaching purposes. They are available via anonymous ftp from ftp.cs.wits.ac.za in directory /pub/ general/geophys, complete with manuals and test datasets, or via Internet at www.iamg.org.
