摘要
The present work analyzes the crashworthiness characteristics of thin walled tube, by introducing the combination of groove shape. A three combination of groove shape, V shape-Rectangular, CircularRectangular, Circular-V shape has been taken for the analysis. These combined grooves shape are introduced at the tube outer wall. A 4, 6 and 8 no of groove specimen for each combined shape are prepared, and effect of no of groove variation is also analyzed. ABAQUS software is used for the numerical analysis of the groove tube and finds the crashworthiness characteristics such as peak load and energy absorption. Load vs displacement curve is analyze for all the groove tube and compare the result from the simple tube. It was seen that combination of groove shape and variation of groove no?s minimizes the shocks and affect the crashworthiness parameter efficiently. ? 2020 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
