摘要
In the second half of the 18th century the boundaries between the forest Montona and Zumesco were a central problem for Venice and the Austrian Empire. However in three dfferent periods some solutions were proposed by the Austro-Venetian Commission, whose main purpose was to control Istria frontier and the enforcement of the Treaty of Gorizia (1754). In 1768 the Republic of Venice adopted the solution proposed by the Provveditore Gravisi and decided to buy some meadows under the Austrian possession. However in 1780 this agreement was not complied by the people of Zumesco. Engineer Ferro proposed to restore the situation of the Sixties of the century. The Venetian and the Austrian governments however refused this proposal. In 1788 the Venetian Provveditore ai confini dell 'Istria Giobatta Fini recommended to maintain the boundaries and to resell the meadows. Finally, in 1791 this proposal was accepted by Venice and Austria, but due to other difficulties the plan was not implemented.
