The analysis of fully developed convective heat transfer in a tube for non-Newtonian fluid

摘要
According to the theory of Non-Newtonian fluid mechanics and heat transfer, the mathematical model of fully developed convective heat transfer for non-Newtonian fluid in tube was set up. The model was solved respectively under the constant heat flux boundary condition and the constant temperature boundary condition for the power law fluid, the Bingham fluid and the Carson fluid. The temperature profiles and the local convective heat transfer coefficient were derived under the two boundary condition. The effect of the characteristic parameters of non-Newtonian fluid on the velocity profile, the temperature profile and the Nusselt number was discussed.
