摘要
This paper reviews pragmatic disorders in the context of language acquisition. After the presentation of a rather narrow and a more comprehensive definition of pragmatics, the relevance of pragmatic skills for proper language acquisition is discussed. Afterwards we give an introduction into the pragmatic acquisition process and elaborate on the classification of pragmatic disorders. We hereby emphasise the distinction between pragmatic disorders, specific language impairment, and disorders on the autistic spectrum. Based upon recent research we present pathways for the diagnosis of and interventions for pragmatic disorders and identify some challenges for future research.
