摘要
The Alpha Magnetic Spectrometer (AMS) is a spaceborne physics experiment designed to search for and measure, with a much greater sensitivity than heretofore possible, various types of cosmic rays. AMS will have two missions in space. The first mission will Last 10 days on the space shuttle (STS-91). For the second mission AMS will be carried on the shuttle up to the International Space Station Alpha for a 3 to 5 year stay.
