摘要：

Previous bibliographical studies focused on the influence of chemical composition, ray percentage, and specific gravity. The statistical relationships found were not very high due to the different sources of the data utilized. This article discusses the first results of a larger experimental project which studies the effect of these factors along with the effect of extractives on linear shrinkage and expansion.
