Resolving energy poverty for social change: Research directions and agenda

摘要
Energy poverty, as the main key indicators of social change, is mostly used to capture the issues apropos energy accessibility and energy affordability for basic household needs. The present work has made a detailed integrative review of energy poverty literature up to 2021 to unveil energy poverty's contextual information that witness energy poverty issues and report some novel findings concerning the role of energy poverty in social change. This research is probably the first integrative review to report the topical contribution, methodological contribution, country-collaboration analysis, cocitation analysis, and thematic analysis. Energy poverty mitigation is prioritized in the United Nation's sustainable development goals (SDG-7). The integrative review application enables researchers and policy-makers to understand energy poverty issues and report future research directions for preventing energy poverty. Within the context of social change, the recent studies have argued that energy poverty has severe impacts on human health and physical violence. Implications regarding sustainable development goals, and management practice, together with future research agendas, are reported.
