Expression of the vldl receptor is upregulated by cell differentiation in HL-60 cells

摘要
HL-60 cells were induced to differentiate into monocyte-macrophage, The level of VLDL receptor mRNA and protein increased in a dose-dependent and time dependent manner after 1 alpha, 25-dihydroxyvitamin D-3 administration. Whereas the level of LDL receptor mRNA was not altered. On the other hand, VLDL receptor mRNA level was not changed during differentiation of the cells into macrophagic cells with phorbol 12-myristate 13-acetate (PMA). Different levels of VLDL receptor induction in the differentiation of HL-60 cells could provide significant information to investigate the regulation mechanisms for induction and function of VLDL receptor.
