摘要
We present a radiative transfer model which takes stochastic density and velocity fluctuations into account. The variation of both, the density and the velocity component along the line of sight, is assumed to be governed by a Markov process. In order to demonstrate the effects of an inhomogeneous, stochastic density distribution, we present and discuss results obtained for two different physical problems: the transport of continuum photons into an absorbing dusty layer and the formation of CO rotational lines in the case of NLTE.
