摘要
The application of parallel processing techniques has long been a major component in the suite of tools used for high-performance computing applications. At the educational level however, parallel processing has not always been given sufficient prominence in engineering curricula. This paper seeks to address issues regarding curriculum development for parallel processing streams within Electrical and Computer Engineering Undergraduate programs. Factors to be addressed at the undergraduate level must extend beyond the performance improvement paradigm, to include important issues of reliability, fault-tolerance and system flexibility.
