摘要
Controlling living anionic polymerization of alkyl (meth)acrylate is complicated due to side reactions associated with ester functionality as well as the presence of aggregated enolate active centers. In the last two decades, several research groups have identified new strategies to circumvent the problem of termination and aggregation in the alkyl (meth)acrylate polymerization. This paper reviews the past and recent developments in living anionic polymerization of alkyl (meth)acrylates using different initiating systems and in the presence of various additives/ligands in conjunction with classical anionic initiator.
